Storybook's popular day camps are designed so children spend most of their days outdoors enjoying fresh air, physical fitness, imaginative play and, of course, hands-on experiential learning about animals and nature.
The animals in turn, help us to create an environment that fosters skills like teamwork and communication; awareness; patience; self confidence; problem-solving; compassion and empathy, and respect for self, each other and nature.
In addition to all our animal 'antics', each camp includes plenty of games, arts and crafts, scavenger hunts, hiking, stories, and outdoor exploration. Class size is limited to 12 kids per counsellor (eight for horse camps).
Volunteers are always on hand to help out!

MARCH BREAK 'Animal Hero' CAMP 2016

During this camp, the children will have the opportunity to become real life super heroes as they learn ways they can use empathy and compassion to make the world a better place for animals and people.

Each day the children will help to care for many of the animals here at the farm. The kids will also learn about some of the (age appropriate) issues animals face and discuss ways we can help. By the end of camp, the kids will have brainstormed and then created a group project that will demonstrate what they have learned about becoming an Animal Hero.

Of course our days will be rounded out with plenty of games, outdoor activities, scavenger hunts and exploring to ensure our campers enjoy the full benefit of life on a farm.

Cost: By March 11 - $150. After March 11 - $160 (tax included)
